How do upgrades and downgrades work, and are there prorations?

Plan changes take effect immediately through Paddle; upgrades are prorated so you only pay the difference for the remaining days in your billing period.

You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time through the billing portal. Revenue Proven handles plan changes via Paddle, which manages proration automatically.

Upgrading your plan

When you upgrade to a higher tier, the change takes effect immediately. Paddle calculates the prorated difference between your current plan and the new plan for the remaining days in your billing cycle and charges only that amount. From the next billing date onward, you pay the full rate for the new plan. Premium features unlock immediately after the upgrade is confirmed.

Downgrading your plan

When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period so you keep the higher-tier features for the time you already paid for. At renewal, the lower plan rate applies. If the lower plan has fewer seats, you may need to remove team members before the downgrade takes effect.

What happens to premium features on downgrade

If you downgrade to a plan that does not include a feature you were using, such as Media Planning or Audience Explorer, access to that feature pauses at the billing period boundary. Your saved data for those features is not deleted and becomes accessible again if you upgrade.
