What does Media Planning forecast?

Media Planning uses the LinkedIn forecasting API to estimate reach, impressions, and leads for a given audience and budget before you commit to a campaign.

Media Planning is a pre-campaign tool that lets you model the expected performance of a LinkedIn campaign before launching it. You set your targeting criteria, budget, objective, and date range, then request a forecast from LinkedIn's forecasting API without leaving Revenue Proven.

What you can forecast

  • Reach: estimated number of unique LinkedIn members who would see your ads
  • Impressions: total estimated ad impressions over the campaign period
  • Leads: estimated lead form submissions for Lead Generation objective campaigns

How forecasts are generated

Revenue Proven sends your targeting criteria and budget to LinkedIn's forecast API endpoints and presents the results in a chart alongside a data table. Results are cached by targeting criteria hash for five days, so rerunning the same forecast returns instantly without an additional API call. The minimum supported budget is USD 100 and forecasts support date spans up to 90 days.

Saving and comparing plans

Each forecast can be saved as a named media plan. You can then compare multiple plans side by side across reach, impressions, and leads to evaluate trade-offs between different audience segments or budget levels. Plans can also be synced to LinkedIn Campaign Manager if your connected token includes the rw_media_plans scope.
