How long does the first sync take?
The first sync typically takes 10 to 40 minutes, depending on how many campaigns and companies are in your ad account and CRM. It pulls up to 180 days of engagement data across all campaigns with no prior cache to draw from.
The first sync is the most data-intensive because it builds your engagement history from scratch across every lookback window. Subsequent daily syncs are incremental and complete much faster, usually within a few minutes.
Factors that affect first sync duration
- Number of campaigns in your LinkedIn ad account
- Number of unique companies that engaged with your ads across 180 days
- Number of company and deal records in your CRM
- LinkedIn API rate limits, which Revenue Proven respects automatically
- Whether fuzzy name matching needs to run for a large number of unmatched accounts
What to expect while the first sync runs
You can follow progress in real time on the Connections page. The dashboard shows which phase is currently running. Attribution data will not appear until matching and attribution phases complete, which happen near the end of the sync. A banner on the dashboard indicates that data is being populated for the first time.
After the first sync finishes
Once the first sync completes, your Company Insights table, Campaign Analytics view, and attribution KPIs will all be populated. From that point, daily syncs run incrementally using a stored cursor to pull only new engagement and updated CRM records.
