How do I connect Salesforce to Revenue Proven?
Revenue Proven connects to Salesforce via OAuth. You need API access enabled on your Salesforce org and at minimum read permissions on Accounts, Opportunities, and Opportunity Stages.
Salesforce is the second CRM supported by Revenue Proven. The integration reads accounts and opportunities, matches them against your LinkedIn engagement data, and produces the same influenced pipeline and revenue figures available for HubSpot users.
Steps to connect Salesforce
- Go to Connections in the dashboard sidebar
- Click Connect next to Salesforce
- You will be redirected to Salesforce for OAuth authorization
- Log in with a Salesforce user that has API access enabled
- Click Allow to complete the connection
Required Salesforce permissions
The connecting user needs API Enabled set to true on their profile, plus read access to the Account, Opportunity, and OpportunityStage objects. Revenue Proven uses the Salesforce REST API and Bulk API 2.0 for large data pulls. System Administrator profile is not required. Revenue Proven never writes to Salesforce.
Instance URL and token refresh
Revenue Proven captures your Salesforce instance URL during the OAuth flow and uses it for all subsequent API calls. If your org is ever migrated to a new instance URL, you will need to disconnect and reconnect. Access tokens are encrypted at rest and refreshed automatically. Every Salesforce API call goes through Revenue Proven's dedicated Salesforce client, which handles rate limits, token refresh, and error propagation.
