How do I connect a LinkedIn Ads account?

Connect your LinkedIn Ads account from the Connections page using OAuth. You need Campaign Manager access on the ad account and the correct LinkedIn scopes granted during authorization.

Connecting a LinkedIn Ads account is the first step to getting attribution data into Revenue Proven. The connection uses OAuth 2.0, so your LinkedIn credentials are never stored. Revenue Proven receives only an encrypted access token that allows it to read your ad engagement data on your behalf.

Steps to connect

  • Go to Connections in the dashboard sidebar
  • Click Connect next to LinkedIn Ads
  • Sign in to LinkedIn and authorize the requested permissions
  • Select the ad account you want to sync from the dropdown
  • Click Save to complete the connection

Permissions required

Revenue Proven requests read access to your ad analytics and campaign data. The key scopes are r_ads_reporting for engagement metrics and rw_ads for campaign discovery. You must have Campaign Manager role or higher on the target ad account in LinkedIn Campaign Manager. If you see a permissions error after connecting, verify your role in Campaign Manager before reaching out to support.

Token security

After authorization, Revenue Proven encrypts your access token using AES-256-GCM before writing it to the database. The raw token is never logged or exposed. Tokens are automatically refreshed before they expire, and the Connections page shows a last-verified timestamp so you can confirm the connection is healthy.
