Install the AI Discovery pixel on your website
The AI Discovery pixel is a small JavaScript snippet that detects visitors referred by AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity and attributes those visits to your website.
The AI Discovery pixel tracks website visits that originate from AI assistant platforms. As more buyers use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot to research vendors, the pixel gives you visibility into how much of your web traffic arrives through those AI surfaces.

Getting your pixel snippet
Go to the AI Discovery section in the sidebar and open Settings. Your unique pixel snippet appears there with your workspace token already embedded. Copy the snippet and paste it into the head section of every page on your website, just before the closing head tag. If you use a tag manager such as Google Tag Manager, add the snippet as a custom HTML tag set to fire on all pages.
- The snippet is approximately 3 KB and loads asynchronously — it does not affect page load speed.
- It detects referrals from chatgpt.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, perplexity.ai, and copilot.microsoft.com.
- Only the /24 subnet of a visitor's IP address is stored; the full IP is never persisted.
- Your pixel token is unique to your workspace — treat it as a secret and do not share it publicly.
- The pixel uses HMAC token verification to prevent data spoofing from third-party domains.
What the pixel captures
When a visitor arrives at your website from an AI assistant platform, the pixel sends an event to Revenue Proven including the source platform, the page visited, and an anonymised IP signal. Revenue Proven then attempts to resolve the visiting company using ASN data, reverse DNS lookups, and a curated domain-to-company mapping.
Viewing AI referral data
AI-referred visits appear in the AI Discovery Visitors section of the dashboard. You can see which AI platforms are sending traffic, which pages visitors land on, and which companies have been identified. This data helps you understand whether your brand is appearing in AI-generated responses and whether those appearances are driving measurable traffic to your site.
