Custom Report Categories
Create your own report categories to group specific metrics together, then let AI suggest a clear, descriptive name. Custom categories work with scheduled reports and the templates marketplace.
Revenue Proven ships four preset report categories. When you need something more specific, you can build a custom category by selecting the exact metrics you want and saving it under a name that makes sense for your team.

Creating a Custom Category
From the Ads Report page, open the category strip at the top and click "New category". The Custom Category Builder opens in a side panel. Use the metric picker to select which fields to include. You can choose any combination of the available metrics in the library.
- You can combine metrics from multiple groups, such as mixing spend data with attribution data.
- The order you select metrics sets the default column order when the category is active.
- Deprecated fields are automatically excluded from new categories.
AI-Suggested Names
Once you have selected your metrics, click "Suggest a name". Revenue Proven analyzes the combination of metrics you chose and generates a concise, descriptive name that reflects the category's purpose. You can accept the suggestion, edit it, or type your own name entirely.
Editing and Deleting Categories
Custom categories appear in the category strip alongside the four presets. Click the three-dot menu on any custom category to edit its metric selection or rename it. A custom category that is in use by one or more scheduled reports cannot be deleted. The deletion is blocked with an error until you first reassign or remove all schedules that reference the category.
Using Categories in Scheduled Reports
Any custom category you create is immediately available when setting up a scheduled email report. Define a precise metric set once and reuse it across multiple schedule configurations without repeating the setup. Updating the category definition updates all schedules that reference it.
Sharing Custom Categories
On Growth plans and above, you can publish a custom category to the Report Templates Marketplace so other Revenue Proven users can discover and install it. Sharing is optional and does not affect your private copy of the category.
