Competitor Intel: AI-Powered Competitive Ad Analysis

Competitor Intel uses an AI model to discover your competitors and scrapes the LinkedIn Ad Library to produce a comparative report with strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations. Learn how v1 and v2 differ, what causes a run to fail, and what the report contains.

Competitor Intel helps you understand how your LinkedIn advertising compares to the companies competing for the same buyers. Enter your company name, and an AI model discovers your top competitors. Revenue Proven then scrapes the LinkedIn Ad Library for your company and all discovered competitors and produces a structured comparative report.

v1 and v2: What Each Does

Version 1 analyzes a single competitor you name manually. It stores that competitor's ads including title, body, link, image, advertiser name, and impression bounds. Version 2 (the current default) auto-discovers approximately 10 competitors using an AI model. You provide your own company name; the system finds relevant competition. It then fans the LinkedIn Ad Library lookup across your company plus all discovered competitors, optionally includes audience insights, and stores a full comparative report.

What the Report Contains

  • Strengths: areas where your LinkedIn ad creative and messaging outperform competitors
  • Weaknesses: gaps or underperforming areas compared to competitor activity
  • Per-competitor insights: individual analysis of each discovered competitor's approach
  • Recommendations: concrete suggestions for improving your LinkedIn ad strategy

How to Run an Analysis

  • Open /dashboard/competitor-intel and ensure your LinkedIn connection is active
  • Enter your company name in the input field
  • Start the analysis; the system validates the name, discovers competitors, scrapes the Ad Library, and generates the report
  • Progress updates as each stage completes; the full run takes several minutes

Failure Conditions and Limitations

A run fails if the LinkedIn Ad Library returns zero ads for every company in the analysis, meaning both your company and all discovered competitors have no active ads visible in the library. An active LinkedIn connection is required; if your token is expired or the connection is disconnected, the run will not start. Competitor discovery is rate-limited to approximately 10 calls per minute per tenant. If you run several analyses in quick succession, you may need to wait briefly before the next run can begin.

Plan Availability

Competitor Intel is available on the Growth plan and above. An active LinkedIn connection with valid credentials is required for every run.
