AI Discovery Pixel
Install the Revenue Proven AI Discovery pixel on your website to automatically detect when visitors arrive from AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.
The AI Discovery pixel is a lightweight JavaScript snippet you install on your website. It is available as a $49/month add-on, separate from your base Revenue Proven plan. Once active, the pixel detects when visitors arrive from major AI assistants and reports those events to your Revenue Proven account. This lets you measure how often your brand appears in AI-generated answers and how that traffic behaves on your site. The pixel uses a secure token tied to your account, so only events from your authorized domain are recorded.
AI assistants detected
The pixel identifies referrals from the following AI assistant sources.
- ChatGPT (chatgpt.com)
- Claude (claude.ai)
- Google Gemini (gemini.google.com)
- Perplexity (perplexity.ai)
- Microsoft Copilot (copilot.microsoft.com)
When a visitor arrives from one of these sources, the pixel sends an event to Revenue Proven. The event includes the referring AI assistant, the landing page URL, and a persistent visitor identifier stored in a first-party cookie. For privacy, only a partial IP range is stored. Full visitor IP addresses are never saved.
Installing the pixel
- In the left sidebar, open AI Discovery and go to the Pixel Settings tab
- Copy the pixel snippet from the installation panel
- Paste the snippet into the <head> section of every page on your website
- If you use a tag manager such as Google Tag Manager, add the snippet as a Custom HTML tag firing on All Pages
- Return to Pixel Settings and click Verify Installation to confirm the pixel is active
How the pixel is authenticated
Each pixel snippet includes a secure token specific to your account. Revenue Proven validates this token on every incoming event. Events with missing or invalid tokens are rejected without recording any data. The token is tied to your account and cannot be used to send events for a different workspace.
Bot filtering and rate limiting
Revenue Proven filters known web crawlers and automated tools before recording any event. Per-source rate limiting is also enforced to prevent event flooding. Events that pass both checks are processed and appear in the AI Discovery dashboard within a few minutes.
Privacy and data retention
The AI Discovery pixel does not use third-party cookies and does not fingerprint individual visitors. Company-level signals are derived server-side from a partial IP range, so no visitor-identifiable data is collected. AI visit records are retained according to the data retention period for your plan.
